Teri Roberts

Teri is obsessed - life has thrown some curve balls her way but the one constant has been the wondrous medium of glass...
Glass has enchanted Teri for as long as she can remember. Teri began working with glass as a teenager in 1985, making lead light windows & panels. Due to the laborious nature of the large pieces she moved onto smaller projects using copper foil. It was whilst buying glass for these projects that Teri stumbled on 'hot' glass and began making fused & slumped glass objects, including 'flying' birds. Teri became increasingly frustrated by the limitations set by the cost & the equipment required by this type of hot glass, further investigation lead to the discovery of lampworking & BEADMAKING!!! REVELATION!!
The setup cost was achievable and Teri could be at home while exploring this new found fascination ...an obsession was born! Teri started by standing for hours on end in her outside laundry with the torch teetering on the washing machine, she progressed to the shed & when her new house was built she demanded a studio - in the house! 9 years later this is where Teri is?she loves to make beads that are bright, cheerful & individual & enjoys working with people to make unique pieces for specific projects. Teri has successfully sold her work at markets, fairs, on eBay & in exhibitions.
